V:
This resource is valuable because most people do not posse coding or app
building skills. Rather, people would have to seek a third party to create/ manage
their app.
R:
I would say that this resource is a little rare. Being able to have the patience
and ability to code/build an app take time and effort. These things are perfected
with experience and many people hire those who are already experience to create
an app. Meaning this is not a resource anybody or everyone know or is able to
do.
I:
This resource is not too hard to imitate. There are far better people with more
experience and ability than me to code and or build apps. The only thing is any
project big or small will take time and effort. I am doing this for my own
personal gain and not a task someone else told me to do. So the effort and
dedication will be more than someone who is simplify hired to do a job.
N:
This resource is really non-suitable, unless the person is some genius or prodigy.
Being able to code efficiently and effectively takes time and experience.
Dedication
– I have a dedication to make this app work for both myself and others.
I: Many people are persistent, some even too persistent. You must be persistent only if the outcome seems viable and beneficial in my opinion. The whole thing on does the benefit outweigh the cost is my way of thinking.
N: Both being persistent and having dedication go hand in hand sometimes. Being able dedicate oneself and have persistence to finish a job can achieve the same benefits.
I: It is hard to copy someone practical use for something. People can try to appeal to consumers on practicality, but imitating completely would be hard.
N: There are similar apps such as Roomi, but they lack the service that my app puts all in one. No app will have all the service that my app has.
I: It is not hard to be able to build an app. Many classes and service online provide tutorials on how to build apps, of course some investment, whether time, money, or something else will have to be used.
N: Like stated above there are resources that educate one on how to build an app but some type of investment will have to be used.
I: It is kind of hard for people to imitate GUI as every app is different design and style wise.
N: This resource is non-substitutable
I: Well being that I am no the first app to do this I would say yes it is vey inimitable. Again, like I said many apps nowadays are free upon download but to use all the resources of the app purchases must be made.
N: Well one thing come to mind but not many people do. If you hack your phone you may be able to exploit the in app purchases to be free but this is illegal activity, so normally no this is non-substitutable
I: Well it could be that my app could be imitable, but so far since Ill be the first one I will ensure there are precedents and make sure its hard for others to simply copy me.
N: So far there are apps that individual offers some of the service my app offers but no app so far offers all the service my offer does.
I: Yes, this is quite imitable. Many people already have improved application with a twitch if their own in their applications. This allows for more innovative applications
N: There is not really a way to substitutable this as what someone sees as a flaw its perspective. So I would say this is non-substitutable
V:
This resource is valuable because with dedication, people tend to perform
better at the task at hand. If I am dedicated to do something I will do it.
R:
I would say that dedication is a little rare. It takes a lot for someone to be
dedicated to do a project from start to finish. Many people seem to quit right
when things seem helpless or almost done, with dedication this is not the case.
I:
Well this resource is not hard to imitate. Many people have dedication for different
things, But I would say not many have in in terms of coding/app building.
N:
This resource can be substitutable in the right person. Dedication is something
that truly tests a person’s perseverance
My
social network – This is the people I know and the people that know others
within my centralized network.
V:
This is a very valuable resource that will allow me to expand the people I know
and the opportunities that follow.
R:
My social network is very rare because like people’s fingerprints, it’s one of
a kind. It is exclusively my personal network that no one can have the same of.
I:
It is very hard to copy my social network. Someone would have to really
dedicate many hours and still not match my social network fully.
N:
My social network is non-substitutable.
Persistence-
I am able to dedicate myself to work for long periods at a time even if it
means little to no sleep.
V:
This trait is valuable to have because it ensures that I will never deviate
from a task due to being persistent constantly.
R:
It maybe be a little rare to have this resource. Many people like with dedication
fall through before completing a task. Being able to be persistent requires
sometime long period of time, some do not have the patience
I: Many people are persistent, some even too persistent. You must be persistent only if the outcome seems viable and beneficial in my opinion. The whole thing on does the benefit outweigh the cost is my way of thinking.
N: Both being persistent and having dedication go hand in hand sometimes. Being able dedicate oneself and have persistence to finish a job can achieve the same benefits.
Practical-
The new people in Gainesville, mainly the people who come to Santa Fe college
or UF, will find my app practical.
V:
This is a very valuable resource to have. Anyone essentially can create an app,
but if it’s not practical for consumer use then it is not to its full
potential. My app will appeal to college students with rooming issues.
R:
Well one would think that everything should be practical but that is based off perspective.
I believe my app would be practical to those who feel uncomfortable in their
living conditions in the Gainesville area.
I: It is hard to copy someone practical use for something. People can try to appeal to consumers on practicality, but imitating completely would be hard.
N: There are similar apps such as Roomi, but they lack the service that my app puts all in one. No app will have all the service that my app has.
Knowledge-
Ability to know how to build the app
V:
This is essential to the whole business concept as the business is based off
the application. Having knowledge on how to create and manage the app is
essential.
R:
It may be rare to the average population, but to more specified audiences it
may not be too rare. Many people nowadays see the potential in applications.
I: It is not hard to be able to build an app. Many classes and service online provide tutorials on how to build apps, of course some investment, whether time, money, or something else will have to be used.
N: Like stated above there are resources that educate one on how to build an app but some type of investment will have to be used.
Simple
GUI- Having simple and easy to use Graphic User Interface is important for
applications.
V:
This may be one of the most important things when using or developing an
application. The app can have a plethora of useful services, but if the user
struggles to navigate or use them, then the app is rendered useless.
R:
I would say yes this is a rare resource. Not every app will have simple GUI and
will have bugs or glitches that annoy the user. Since technology is never certain
some bugs will always arise, but it is the job of the developer to minimize
those bugs
I: It is kind of hard for people to imitate GUI as every app is different design and style wise.
N: This resource is non-substitutable
Little
to no Cost: This app will be free with in app purchases
V:
This is very valuable resource to have as my targeted consumers are college
students. Free or little cost is something that appeals to them.
R:
No this is not too rare. Many apps are now free but offer in app purchases for
users to unlock all the potential of the app.
Unique-
No app in the App Store or other application marketplaces offers the all in one
services I offer in my app.
V:
This is very valuable resource to have because it combines many individual app
services into one. This will attract many consumers.
R:
This is rare because from my research, no app in an app marketplace offers all the
services my app does.
I: Well it could be that my app could be imitable, but so far since Ill be the first one I will ensure there are precedents and make sure its hard for others to simply copy me.
N: So far there are apps that individual offers some of the service my app offers but no app so far offers all the service my offer does.
Quality-
will be better than current similar services/apps
V:
This is important to have because many people like quality applications. People
wont settle for less and want the best and most efficient and smooth applications
R:
This is rare to have. The ability to find the faults of current applications
and being able to perfect those flaws in another application can be tough. But
with the right amount of time it can be done.
I: Yes, this is quite imitable. Many people already have improved application with a twitch if their own in their applications. This allows for more innovative applications
N: There is not really a way to substitutable this as what someone sees as a flaw its perspective. So I would say this is non-substitutable
I believe that my social network is my best resource. The reason why I say this is because it is the most personal thing that no person can imitate. The connections I make and the people I meet is unique to me an no one else. My network as described in a previous assignment I think will be essential to the success and expansion of my application. This is why this is my most important resource
Juan,
ReplyDeleteExcellent job on the post. It is clear that you put a lot of time into it. Social networking is incredibly important in business and it is good for that to be one of your advantages. I would say coding has to be a pretty big advantage too because not too many people can write good coding and develop an app on their own.
