Halfway Reflection

Hello ENT 3003 students! Today I will talk about some of the aspects this course will entitle you to do. At first many of these exercises will seems odd and uncomfortable, nut please reflect on each assignment and look at the bigger picture. Try to look at the Professor Pryor's mindset on why he decided to choose these type of assignments.

1) Some behaviors that I have had to develop are being able to be time efficient and more open to different experiments. There are several assignments per week. This forces you to be able to manage your limited time and have good time management skills. Another behavior is being open to assignments that may seem weird or out of your comfort zone. It is essential to complete every assignment the way its intended to be and no take any short cuts. There are no shortcuts in life.

2) Many times basically every week I leave the assignments to the last minute. This means that I have to complete each assignment in a very limited time limit. The reason why is because I'm taking another class that I have to focus 20 plus hours a week to manage. What has pulled me through is my mindset. I have never failed a class or gotten unsatisfactory grades and I don't intend to do so. I have been given a chance by my mom to make something if my life and I will do so. I do believe I have a tenacious attitude. I have inherited the will to succeed and persevere like my mom has.

3) So here are some tips on how to perform successfully and the achieving the full extent of this class. Number one is START EARLY! It is so important to be attentive on your assignments and to start as early as possible. This will save you time in the future and save the the stress of completing these assignments if something should arise. Number two is try your hardest to complete each assignment to its full extent. Never shortcut anything in life and this same principle applies to these assignments. These assignments are meant to build and hone your skills for the future. Number three is to reflect on everything you do in this class. Professor Pryor has a reason on why he chose these specific assignments. The skills you will develop with these assignments are essential for your future. With these tips, I ensure you will succeeded!

  2. Hi Juan,

Good job in your halfway reflection! You have included some really great tips and advice in your post. I completely agree that future students who are going to take this class should start early in their assignments and not to procrastinate, which I am trying not to do. I believe future students should set a schedule and should follow it through no matter what in order to create the habit of completing assignments early. 3. Juan,

I think a lot of us in this class have had to learn or use time management throughout the course. As far as your advice goes I think you're dead on. Starting early is so important, especially for assignments that require interviews. I also agree with reflecting on what you've done in the class, it's a good way to see how you're learning new skills and truly becoming an entrepreneur.
